You are a passionate Sustainability engineer who wants to make a significant contribution to the European carbon reduction roadmaps.

Bopro is currently expanding throughout Europe, as our clients are asking us to support their transition to carbon neutrality in 2050, both for their portfolio of assets (spread across Europe) and at an organisational level.

The nature of your work will be multi-faceted: from the analysis and improvements of technical equipment in buildings to the development of an ESG strategy at company level. You will interact with a multitude of disciplines from subcontractor engineering managers to customers CEOs/CFOs in the implementation of a carbon reduction roadmap. It will be possible to travel throughout Europe to assess buildings and/or visit clients' headquarters.

Responsibilities

Provide advice on making buildings more sustainable in Belgium and other EU countries
Evaluate building performance and management performance in these buildings according to recognised standards, with a focus on technical equipment
Developing tools to facilitate building sustainability such as a purchasing policy or maintenance strategy
Perform EPC certification on buildings based on local regulations
Assisting in the development of a carbon roadmap with the aim of reducing greenhouse gases to "net zero" by 2050 at the latest
Participate in the study of building characteristics with the aim of identifying their energy performance and carbon emissions
Develop a decarbonisation pathway in line with SBTi (or European targets).
Using digital platforms specialised in reporting non-financial objectives and performance or managing and monitoring action plans
Develop an ESG strategy for an organisation, building or development
Setting up management measures, action plan and strategy
Providing training on the ESG strategy, the action plan and the tools
Collecting information and reporting on achievements and objectives cfr GRI, CSRD or other standards

Requirements

You have a master's degree in engineering sciences, preferably a civil engineer with a specialization in construction, sustainable development, sustainable materials or energy management
You already have at least 2 years of experience in energy or sustainability
You are a team player
You have a hands-on, can-do mentality
