Polygone Riviera is an enormous shopping mall in the South of France between Nice and Cannes. This open air shopping centre counts 70,000 sqm, 150 shops and 3000 parking places. Impressive, innovative, but above all: unique. It’s a lifestyle venue featuring iconic architecture, shops, as well as culture and leisure areas, a cinema, a number of restaurants, theatre, art galleries and so on.
Unibail-Rodamco-Westfield didn’t only want a nice shopping experience, they also wanted to invest in the area and in sustainability. Bopro was entrusted with the BREEAM In-Use evaluation. We used the BIU scheme to evaluate the building asset, the building management and the occupier management. Suggestions were formulated to reduce the running costs and improve the environmental performance. Polygone Riviera obtained a “Double OUTSTANDING” Score for the Building parts.
