In Ghent, the Noorderlaan, a new sports complex was built for hockey, tennis and padel club Gantoise vzw. The new indoor infrastructure accommodates 5 tennis courts. The outdoor sports infrastructure consists of 1 complete and a half hockey field, 6 tennis courts and 3 padel courts.

Bopro is responsible for the project management of the entire building project. This means that we control and manage the entire construction process and monitor the quality, planning and budget. This way, Bopro is also contributing to the development of one of the largest hockey clubs in Belgium.

The construction of the new sports infrastructure started at the beginning of June and the foundation stone was laid on the 27th of June 2020. At the end of 2020, the tennis hall was ready for operation and the entire site was completed in February 2022.

Program

The new clubhouse with tennis hall has 3 levels. With an entrance hall, shop and dressing rooms on the ground floor, a bar, restaurant and technical room on the first floor and a multipurpose room with meeting rooms on level 2, the clubhouse will have a total surface area of approximately 3,000 m². On the exterior there will be a grandstand offering a magnificent view of the sports fields.

Team

Vertongen Architecten is responsible for the design of the project. Construction company Vandenbussche has been appointed as the contractor. The construction of the outdoor sports fields will be done by 4LS.
