The existing building was extended, the extension was designed by architect Stéphane Beel.
The new development for deSingel consists of a café-restaurant, an exhibition room, a multimedia room, a theatre workshop, a dance studio, various offices and a rehearsal room for music ensembles amongst others things.
For the Conservatory the project provides for (amongst other things) a hall for orchestra rehearsal, rehearsal studios and class rooms, a hall for drama and dance performances and various secondary rooms (dressing rooms, storage rooms, offices).
Apart from implementation of Project Management, Bopro made an estimate of the exploitation costs to be expected from both the existing buildings and the new development. Using this process Bopro developed the Life-cycle-cost model, custom-made for the three owners and users.
