ISO 14001
In obtaining the ISO14001:2004 environmental certificat, Bopro commits itself to the continious improvement of its environment care system to prevent pollution of the environment. In doing so, Bopro respects the applicable environment laws and regulations and all other relevant requirements.
The environment management system is applicable to the head office in Ghent and the branch office in Mechelen. Bopro also includes its suppliers within the scope. Bopro's environment management system focuses not only on internal staff but also expects its suppliers and service-providers to make the necessary efforts for a preventive approach to our environmental impact. Bopro will also continue to inform its clients, raise their awareness and involve them along the way towards a sustainable environment policy.
Our environment care program underlines the reduction of our carbon footprint. Following aspects are being monitored, measured and evaluated:
- The premises
The buildings in Ghent and Mechelen have been adapted and will be uniformly developed in an integrated approach with the objective of reducing CO2 emissions through action on energy efficiency, mobility and water consumption. - Mobility
The means of transport must be used according to the STOP principle. The company cars should le selected for a best-possible "ecoscore" that takes account not only of the CO2 emissions but also of discharge of fine dust and noise production. This weights impact on climate change, health and the built-up environment. - Waste
All our company processes must be evaluated in the light of the objective of working in a way that reduces the generation of waste.
Other company goals
- CO2 reduction by 2013 by 30% compared with 2009 to be calculated according to the ISO 14064 scope 2 method.
